About Mr. Joey

As a teacher, I believe in the goal of creating students who are ready for the world outside of school. I believe that all students are bright and always have something to give to us as teachers. I accomplish my goals by teaching three things to my students… content, Love, and action. In content, I will teach my students the necessary standards but in a new way by integrating these standards into a fun and motivational way for students to learn while also giving them a chance to assess their work themselves before, I am able to. I feel this gives students the opportunity to look at their work with a closer eye than most. I will teach my students to love through understanding others and growing their social-emotional understanding. One more thing my students will learn in action. My students will know how to take action on things that matter as well as the proper steps on how to. Being a part of the growth that students experience is my job!
